TeChef 12 Inch Frying Pan Review

Cooking isn't one of my absolute favorite things to do, but I seem to do an awful lot of it. Something to do with having to feed two voraciously hungry guys. So it's not my favorite activity, but having good tools and equipment to do the job make it not so bad. And having smiling faces and satisfied stomachs after they consume my creations makes it a worthwhile effort.
I needed a larger pan so I could cook enough at the same time and it could fit to cook evenly so I was thrilled when I found out I would get to review this 12 inch frying pan from TeChef
.

The pan features the new Teflon® nonstick coating. It is made without using PFOA. DuPont nonstick coatings on TeChef products are affirmed safe for cooking by regulatory agencies worldwide.
Unique forging technology allows extra heavy gauge aluminum base and thin wall construction that contains no cadmium and no lead. It makes for an easy to handle pan. It does have some weight to it, but that is partly due to the fact that is is several inches bigger than the pans I have been using.
This pan cooks fabulously! I quit using vegetable oil in my pans quite some time ago. It left a sticky residue that was very hard to remove after it had been heated and butter washes away clean.
Chicken breast

I added a few pats of butter and browned this chicken with a mix of herbs and spices. Cooked it until done and golden brown. It was deliciously delightful. I loved that it all fit which allowed all the pieces to cook evenly and get done at the same time. I'll admit, after dinner we got busy doing some family things and I didn't wash my pans that night.
It was pretty icky looking the next day.  But it was just butter, a little bit of oil and a few bits from the chicken. I first wiped out the biggest amount of that with a paper towel.
I then used only hot water and liquid dish soap to wash the pan out. I never use harsh chemical cleaners or rough scrubbers on my non-stick pans.
This this pan washes and rinses clean very easily. Even the places where the meat had browned just wiped away.
Once rinsed, I simply wiped with a dry towel and it was a good as new!
My next project needs to be a rack to hang my pans like this because I like to really baby them and don't let them get nested with other pans at all so they don't get scratched.
I think the only addition that would be very helpful and would have been nice if it had been included, is a lid. One is shown in the photos on Amazon, but is sold separately.
Despite not coming with the lid,  I love this pan! It has so far proven to be high quality and think it is going to get lots of usage in our house. I plan to take great care to ensure it lasts a long, long time.

You can check out this awesome piece of cookware on amazon.com. You can also find TeChef on Facebook.
