Face painting is so fun to wear! You can be almost anything you want for just a little while. The challenge can be getting good quality face paint for a decent price.
As a clown, I usually work with balloons, but occasionally work at the face painting table. We use high quality paints that are quite pricey. I was excited to review this Kid's Face Paint Kit from Beetastic and even more excited to find it is a good quality product.

The eight colors in the kit give you a nice variety, allowing you to create many great designs. I was also able to mix colors pretty easily in an artist pallet to get colors I wanted. With just a small amount of water, you get great color that goes on very smooth.
I don't normally paint my own face so it was a bit awkward for my left-handed self, but these paints are super easy to work with. I just dipped my bristles into water then brushed across the color to moisten the paints. Another way to do it is to use a small spray bottle with clean water in it.
I used my brushes, but this kit contains tools to create great designs. This kit include two sponges, a liner brush and two double ended sponge applicators. The sponges can be used to cover large areas. I did use these a few times and they worked good. The applicators can be used in many ways from applying in thin or wide strokes or blending. The liner brush is great for creating thin lines or outlining.
The paints are FDA complaint and non-toxic. I had no problems at all with any kind of sensitivities. I would test a small patch if using them on children just to be sure. They remove super easy! When I first used the paint, I removed it with a wet washcloth that had a little soap on it, but when I used it again later I also was able to wipe it off with just a wet washcloth. It didn't stain my skin or my washcloth.

These are great for small parties, Halloween or just to let the kids have some fun. And they are fun! You can paint on a mask to match a costume instead of worrying about a mask that could obscure their vision or prevent them from being able to breathe good.
For all my playing around with them, I used very little, barely making a dent in a few of the colors. They might get used a little faster if you turn the kids loose with them on their own, but they'll still get lots of fun and creativity out of them!
