#KneeBrace
I have mentioned my bad knees before. I try to be careful to prevent straining or re-injuring them, but sometimes it is only after the pain hits, that I realize there is a problem.
I received the Ultra Flex Knee Brace and Ankle Support set to review and it arrived not a moment too soon.
I knew without a doubt I would be able to use the knee brace and was initially very interested in the comfort and functionality of it, but as it turned out, the bonus ankle support brace that is included in this pack was what I really needed!
I still don't know what happened. One day I was fine, and the next day, I had a small pain in my left ankle/foot. I had not done anything out of the ordinary. I had been at home, doing housework and getting my things ready for a clowning job. By the morning of the clowning, the pain was noticeable, but tolerable. I wore the ankle support brace for good measure since my costume shoes have a slight heel on them. All went well and the brace really helped since I was on my feet for more than four hours.
For more than two weeks I relied on the ankle brace everyday and sometimes at night. I rarely go to the doctor. I am very fortunate to rarely get sick and I take care when I know there are illnesses going around. But my foot hurt so bad at one point in the days before Easter, that I called and tried to get an appointment to get it checked, but I couldn't get an appointment. Everyone was booked solid for nearly a week. Must have been a run on foot and leg injuries! So I had to suck it up and do what I could. I relented and used some over the counter medicine and continued to use the braces. I am so thankful I received this set when I did!
The knee brace came in handy too. The ankle injury put stress on my knee and attempted to cause a flair up of the pain I normally feel and using the braces together minimized that so it didn't get any worse. I have taken it easy on my foot and let it heal and the pain has finally receded and for the past few days have not needed the braces. I am so glad I have them for any future needs though!
Both braces are very easy to use and comfortable to wear. The knee brace has silicone stripes on the inside that help keep it from sliding down. The three velco straps allow for a one size fits all, custom fit around your leg at the thigh, knee and calf and the open patella (knee) design helps keeps the brace in place and from shifting as you move.
These offer great support for anyone who plays sports, are recovering from injury, have tendonitis, arthritis or other issues. These worked terrific for me and are the best braces I have used. By far the most comfortable compression braces I have ever had. I like that when I put these on I know they are going to stay put and I won't be constantly tugging them back into place or have to readjust them. Another thing I noticed is that unlike other braces I have used in the past, there are no uncomfortable edges that dig into my skin, even where the material overlaps. everything lays flat and even.
