I know I can't be the only one that despises breaking glasses. We have hardwood and tile floors and breaking anything glass means I will be finding pieces for many months! I also have been known to just lose my grip on glass so I keep a small collection of plastic ones for myself.
I received a set of the Ramini Brands® Silicone Glasses to review. I was intrigued by the idea of glasses made of silicone. Glasses that wouldn't break if I dropped them.
Okay, I'll say it right up front... when you are used to hard glass and plastic cups and glasses, the first time you touch on of these, they feel weird! They are flexible and can feel almost fluid in your hand.
The first time I used one, it was awkward and I almost spilled my tea. It takes some getting used to. It is a different feel and different way to hold since they are silicone and not hard like glass or plastic. That being said, now I have used them several times and I am finding that I like them quite well.
I poured a small amount of tea into one and put it in the freezer. After it was frozen, I filled the cup with more tea. A great way to keep my drink cold!
We had a great snowfall a few weeks ago and I made  snow ice cream. There was some left after dishing out what we wanted so I put the extra into on of my silicone cups and stuck it in the freezer. Several days later, I got it out. Within just a few minutes it was softened up perfectly for eating and it was great! It was even better after I thought to add some strawberries to it!
These have become my go-to for freezing stuff! I don't have to worry about glass breaking or plastic cracking.

Now, there is one thing I have to mention. There is a card in the package that mentions the silicone has an odor. Boy does it ever! I washed mine following the directions and could still smell the odor slightly, so I soaked them in some water with baking soda in it and then washed then with soap and water. After that there was no odor.
These are easy to wash and really lightweight so you can take them with you and know you'll have something to drink out of when away from home. If you don't like using the throw away cups from restaurants, you could use these instead.

These 11 ounce cups can be used almost everywhere. Outdoors, hiking, camping, the beach... they can go with you and be your reusable option.
