Art Abandonment

Are you an artist or do arts and crafts? Most people that do, create and make things and give them as gifts to the people in their lives. Others are able to sell their works and even make a living with their creations. I do some painting and various crafts. I have played around with different things like painting and engraving on gourds, glass engraving, painting wooden wall hangings, painting ceramic tiles, painting spoons, crafting with light bulbs, CD ROMS, making things with yarns and much more. 

I recently learned about a group called Art Abandonment and the very idea is intriguing to me. You create a piece of your art and leave it someplace for some random person to find. I KNOW RIGHT!?!?! Can you imagine finding something that someone else created? I mean, if you have ever made anything you know that there is a piece of yourself in it. The idea is so cool! The description of the group states that the idea is to encourage random acts of art, to be left in various locations around the globe for lucky unsuspecting folks to find. The artist can post photos of their art and the locations they leave it and because you leave a little note with some basic information, the lucky finder can report that they found some art!

I have not abandoned anything yet but I am planning to very soon. I am excited just thinking about it!
