It seems like everything we have these days is rechargeable. We all have phones, tablets, speakers and music players that have to be charged regularly.
I knew this Atrico Rapid-Charging 6-Port Desktop USB Charger would definitely get some use around our house so the opportunity to review it, was exciting.
I have a tablet that I use to text and call from, my husband has his phone that needs to be on and available almost all the time, I have different speakers I use with my tablet and I still give my iPod shuffle a lot of use.
While our laptops have USB ports (mine has 4!), it isn't always convenient to have several things plugged in trying to charge, especially if I am very busy using the laptop, which is almost always!
This desktop charger takes a lot of that burden off the laptop. There are 6 ports total. Two for devices, two for Apple devices and two for smartphones. It will work with virtually any USB device. The charger can put out a maximum of 8 Amps at once and 2.4 amps per port.
This charger makes things much easier because even though a lot of our electronics now come with an adapter so they can be plugged into a wall outlet, the adapters only have one USB port on them so we end up with adapters plugged in to wall outlets all over the house. When at home, we can have a central location to charge our devices and not scramble to remember where we plugged them in. It also cuts down on the need to find or buy more adapters that only have one USB port on them.
The Atrico Charger is also a petite size that makes it easy to carry along with you. It is only about 4 1/2 inches tall x 2 1/2 inches deep so it can fit into a laptop case or tote. That makes it great for times when I am am going to be away from our house all day or when we travel. On a recent trip, there were only a few wall outlets in the room and we pretty much has stuff plugged in everywhere. For the next trip, this charger will allow us to charge all our devices conveniently from one outlet, freeing up outlets for other things, preventing wires from being everywhere and not impede the use of our laptops. It's also great for travel since it can handle both 110 volts and 240 volts.
The charger has an "active charge" LED light to let you know it is in use. I have found it to be easy to use, easy to carry with me and super convenient for charging my various devices.
With the number of devices that are charged via a USB cable, this is a worthy investment if only for the fact that it helps organize your space and keeps you you from running from outlet to outlet to retrieve your devices.
If you need to rein in all the charging cables, the Atrico 6-Port Rapid Charger is available on Amazon. Stay charged, stay organized!
