La Lune Peppermint Essential Oil Review & Giveaway

If you like peppermint even a fraction as much as I do, You'll love La Lune Naturals Peppermint Oil. I received a bottle to review and it has been very handy to have around!
I used some fractionated coconut oil for my carrier oil and several drops of the peppermint oil in my diffuser bottle. Now I get whiffs of my favorite scent throughout the living room as the air movement from the fans carries it around the room.
Being fairly new to oils I haven't really delved into using them for health or medicinal purposes much. I have learned about how well they clean, how great they smell, but until the other day, I had not had a reason to use them for anything more.
We had a family get together to celebrate my mom's birthday. We had some fabulous home cooked dishes, but we were eating a little later than we normally do. And a terrific dish my sister-in-law made had onions and peppers in it..... I began paying for it around 2 AM with hiatal hernia pain. Nothing was helping. By the time I needed to get the mini man up for school I felt miserable and it still hurt! I went to the kitchen and saw my peppermint oil on the counter and remembered reading something, somewhere about it being used for pain like this as well as for stomach aches. So I mixed some carrier oil and a few drops of peppermint together and rubbed it where the pain was. I am so in awe of all the things oils can do and I was surprised once more when the mixture did give me relief. And it happened within just a few moments.
Another place I have been using it is in the humidifiers! There has been a lot of illness going around and I try to head of sickness by using the humidifiers in conjunction with oils. One of the machines has a slot for those little scented pads you can buy that are soaked in Vick's Vaposteam type stuff.... I saved a small box of those pads from when our son was little.... we had a little plug in thing that used them.  I re-saturate them with my oils and slide them into the slot in the humidifier. Instant vapors for helping stuffy noses breathe!

I prefer to be using my peppermint for making things smell good and for their cleaning power, but I was sure glad I had it that morning of my pain and with the illnesses making the rounds!
