Pure Body Naturals Pepperment Essential Oil

#essentialoil

Peppermint is just about my favorite flavor and scent ever. I just love it all year round, not just at Christmas time.

I was super excited when I found out I would get to review this Peppermint Essential Oil from Pure Body Naturals because I have heard so much about people using it for various household and health related reasons.

Without a really great place locally to shop for these type things, I had resorted to using pure peppermint extract in order to experience my favorite scent!

Since reading and researching how to use real oils, I have been amazed at the number of uses there are for peppermint. And the sheer strength of the oil compared to the extract is astounding! Too much can bring tears to your eyes! Yeah, I did that!

It combines beautifully with lemon essential oil for cleaning!  It also combines with others such as eucalyptus, very well. I have found some recipes using combinations that I am anxious to try and will as soon as I get the additional oils!

For now I have used it in the places I had previously been using the extract.
It works wonderful to dispel bathroom odors. It works to turn away critters most people don't like having for house guests, such as mice and spiders. I wipe our window sills with peppermint on my dust cloth to discourage little visitors from slipping in.
The ceiling in our living room has a very high peak that is about 16 feet high. Being a bit stubby, it requires me to have an 8 foot ladder, my vacuum with addition shaft pilfered from other vacuums and taped to each other  to reach ALMOST all of it! I used to go through that several times a years to keep it free of spider webs and critters. As the years have went by, stuff accumulated and the living room got rearranged so that it made hauling all that stuff in there, the ceiling cleanings got fewer and fewer until the virtually stopped because I was too exhausted to worry about it. Hearing about peppermint spider eviction properties gave me great hope!
I spray my peppermint infused water onto my long reach wand duster and dust the walls and corners with it and it works terrific! Spiders really do not like this stuff!
I have a rainbow vacuum we bought many years ago when a friend was a salesman. He came to our house and did the whole sale pitch for us. Part of the pitch was to show us the little four-bottle pack of scents they had for adding to the water basin. That vacuum was a pretty penny! Our friend left me the pack of scents as a gift figuring they would give him more when he got another vacuum to replace the one he just sold.... umm no! They told him he had to PAY for those himself and they weren't cheap. He was just starting out and I think we were only the second sale he'd had so he had to ask for them back. So over the years I have made do with using things like scented bubble bath to create good scents while I used the vacumm...Now I'm using my peppermint essential oil and WHOOO. a few drops in all it takes! It is wonderful!

I'll leave you with a recipe I will be making soon.

Sugar Scrub

- 3 Cups white sugar
- 1 Cup + 12 Tablespoons olive or grapeseed oil
10 drops essential oil (you can use any scent. I will be using peppermint)

- jar(s) to place the scrub in.

Combine the sugar and olive or grapeseed oil together and mix well.
If you want to make a few jars with different scents, divide the sugar mix into separate bowls.
Add your essential oil(s) and blend well and then put your scrub into the jar (or jars).
