This is a favorite recipe that seems to come to mind around this time of year, but it's great anytime. This is a basic recipe, but this is one you can play with and add different things to it.

Butterscotch Haystacks

Ingredients

1 Can Chow Mein noodles

1 pkg butterscotch morsels

Optional Add-Ins: You can add peanuts, almonds, cashews, marshmallows, etc. Some like to melt up to 1/2 cup of peanut butter with the morsels. You can also use chocolate or Reese flavored morsels instead of butterscotch. 

Directions 

Melt butterscotch chips on top of a double boiler, or in a microwave. 

Stir in the add-ins you've chosen and blend well.

Gently fold the Chow Mein noodles into the melted mixture until well coated. 

Drop dough by forkfuls onto waxed paper. Cool until set.
